  9. LCDaemon is a hard/software project to connect a character-based
  10. LCD display to your parallel port. A version for the Multifacecard
  11. 2 and 3's parallel ports is also included, as well as a
  12. version that emulates a LCD screen in an Amiga window.
  13. (The Amiga window version requires Kick3.0 for pen allocation)
  14.  
  15. This is version 1.9. A minor feature is the TENBIT switch, but
  16. this is not fully implemented yet.
  17. The reason for this update is found in the Utilities subdirectory,
  18. which contains SysInfo, a SysMon clone for the Executive task
  19. scheduling system. A packet handler "lcd-handler" allows mounting
  20. the lcd as a device ("LCD:time/priority")
  21. e.g. echo test >lcd:100/10
